Amalfi

Amalfi is definitely an obligatory stop on your visit to the Amalfi Coast. It is a coastal town rich in history and traditions and with evocative landscapes.

Amalfi was an Italian Maritime Republic, together with Genoa, Pisa and Venice. Traditionally, every four years, the regatta of the ancient maritime republics with the historical procession takes place here. This is a historical re-enactment dating back to 1995 that aims to celebrate the exploits of Italy’s greatest maritime republics. A truly evocative event!

Amalfi boasts a splendid Duomo dedicated to Saint Andrew, the town’s patron saint. Another interesting stop is the Museo della Carta (Paper Museum), where you can see the process of creating the precious Amalfi paper live.

Its narrow streets are full of shops and restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious typical dish.
